Our Director Gareth Kennedy recently attended the GSL Community Forum in London, taking part in a panel discussion exploring the paradox of conflict and belonging.

The discussion highlighted an important message: living together means navigating differences, understanding different perspectives and finding ways to build positive relationships, even when disagreements arise, we want to bring these learnings into our student communities. Living together isn't always easy, but every conversation is an opportunity to learn, grow and strengthen our student community.

ND Group (Autistic Student Social) is a social outlet facilitated by Student Wellbeing for Autistic students and meet every month on each campus.

The next meetings will take place:

While the team facilitate the sessions, they very much rely on the participation and guidance from the members - this is a group for students, run by students!

Freshers’ week is an exciting time to meet new people and settle into university life. Please remember that alcohol and drugs can carry serious risks to your health and wellbeing. It’s safest not to use any drugs at all. But if you still choose to use them, reduce your risk of harm:

• Go slow and know your limits

• Don’t mix alcohol with drugs or medication

• Stay with your friends and ensure everyone gets home safely

• Seek medical help immediately if you, or someone else feels unwell

Your safety comes first, enjoy freshers’ week responsibly.
