BLACK HISTORY MONTH | OUR PEOPLE. OUR STORIES

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, we’re continuing to shine a light on the people who make up our community.

This week, we feature Kaysan Dawodu from the Loughborough College Men’s Football Academy ⚽

For Kaysan, football is more than a sport — it’s a huge part of who he is, driving his ambition to become a professional footballer and make his family proud.

Inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s work ethic and mentality, as well as the support of his dad and family, Kaysan’s message to the next generation is simple:

Believe in yourself. Work hard. Stay patient. Stay humble. And be ready when your opportunity comes.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH | OUR COMMUNITY

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, we are shining a light on our community — celebrating the people, stories and journeys that inspire others.

This week, we are proud to feature Loughborough College Women’s Rugby Academy player and part of the Jamaican UK Player Pathway.

Zara speaks about the pride and enjoyment her sport brings, the inspiration she takes from her mum, Sadia Kabeya and Shaugnah Brown , and the importance of doing what makes you happy.

Her story is a brilliant reminder that sport can help shape who we are today and who we want to become in the future.

💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 💚

Physical activity isn’t just good for your body — it’s good for your mind too!

Whether it’s a gym session, playing sport, going for a walk or simply taking a break from studying, movement can help reduce stress, boost your mood and improve your overall wellbeing.

💚 This World Mental Health Day, remember:

✅ You don’t need to be an athlete to be active.
✅ Small steps can make a big difference.
✅ Moving with friends can help you feel connected.
✅ Find an activity you enjoy and make time for yourself.

At Loughborough College we believe that looking after your mental health is just as important as your physical health
