BCPD Trust BCPD Trust is a UK registered charity based in Luton inspiring young people into Education, Careers, Business and Sports.

We have been working with young people from Luton since 21st February 2011 and is currently focused on below key activities.

• KS2, KS3 and GCSE tuition classes in English and Maths
• Professional Mentoring, Coaching and Works Experience
• Sports and social activities including camping trips
• Professional Seminars and Workshops
• Industry Insight Seminars
• Sports Training and Coaching

Luton Keep Active Summer Challenge BCPD Trust a Luton based charity has launched their Keep active summer school holidays challenge for young children between the ages of 7 to 18.

These activities are funded by Luton Council’s Social Justice Unit, through BLCF, as part of the Luton Citizens’ Fund.

There are three events planned:

Keep Active Kayaking & Raft building challenge – 23rd July
Keep Active climbing wall and abseil challenge – 30th July
Keep Active walking challenge across the Chiltern Hills – 16th August

Kayaking & Raft building challenge
Kayaking and raft building is a great way to encourage young people to take part in physical activities and enjoy an active lifestyle. This challenge is also used to develop and hone life skills including teamwork, leadership, communications, problem solving, decision making. We plan to spend half a day focusing on raft building and kayaking skills.

BCPD Trust and Purbachal Book Club launch 2026 Book Reading Challenge to inspire the next generation of readers

Young readers are being invited to pick up a book, share their ideas and let their creativity shine as BCPD Trust, in collaboration with Purbachal Book Club and event sponsors, officially launches its 2026 Book Reading Challenge for children and teenagers aged 6 to 18.

Building on the success of the last four competitions, organisers are once again encouraging young people to discover the joy of reading while developing confidence, communication skills and a love of presenting ideas. Readers can also look back at the 2025 competition and Awards Ceremony.

The challenge is designed to make reading exciting, helping young people build confidence, strengthen their presentation skills and express their understanding of a book in their own unique way.

Entering is simple. Contestants can choose any book they enjoy and create a short video of between one and three minutes,

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my first Summer School programme for young people aged 18–22 from Luton North.

The two-day programme will take place on 21–22 July, with one day in Luton North and one day in Parliament. It will include guest speakers, a tour of Parliament, and the chance to gain real insight into politics and public life.
