🧡Manchester Met Hockey Training/ Trails 2021/22💙
Monday 20th September
Time: 8pm – 10pm
Venue: Armitage Centre, Pitch D for girls, Pitch A for boys
Bring water and appropriate clothing for the Manchester weather
All levels of ability welcome
We have spare kit to borrow for people who are starting out or coming to try hockey
Turn up from 7.30 onwards to meet people and say hello

Any questions get in touch. If you can’t make it but would like to be involved in the future, please let us know.

It was so lovely seeing all your new faces at freshers fair this week
🧡Our trials are being held on Monday 20th September
💙The trials will be boys and girls separately
🧡Taking place at armitage sports centre M14 6HE
💙8pm - 10pm
🧡However two seniors will be meeting at the union to get the bus with those of you from campus
💙Or
🧡Two seniors will meet you at 256 pub in fallowfield @7:30
💙Sticks will be available for those who don’t have access to any

🔹🔹FRESHERS!🔸🔸

After being given the go ahead to resume activities we will be resuming training on Monday 2nd November!

We are still welcoming anybody who wants to pick up a stick, so if you missed the first session or have had a change of heart there’s still chance!

We train at the Armitage Centre on Moseley Road, M146PA.

How to get to us from uni:
-Catch a Magic Bus (142,143) or (42,43) from the bus
stop outside Manchester Aquatics Centre.
-Get off the bus just outside the pub 256, then walk to the pitch.

Training times are as followed:

Men's Training: 6-7.30pm

Ladies Development Squad: 7.30-8.45pm
Ladies Performance Squad: 8.45-10pm

If you missed our freshers zoom call it's not to late!
We begin training on Monday 21st September and it'd be great to see a lot of new faces down. We train at the Armitage Centre on Moseley Road, M146PA.

How to get to us from uni:

*To train you need to book a session through an app called 'bookfit' and you have to sign the 'England Hockey Player Agreement', please follow the photo instructions posted at the bottom*

Training times are as followed:
Men's Training: 6-8 pm

Ladies Training - for this week alone, Ladies will only be training for 1 hour in two separate groups - details below. This is due to the expected high numbers so we must ensure that we don’t exceed COVID limitations on group sizes.

Ladies Development Squad: 8-9 pm
Ladies Performance Squad: 9-10 pm

For ladies freshers - if you are an experienced hockey player, either playing at club, county level etc, please book into the performance squad sessions.

If you have played hockey more casually either through school or haven’t played at all, please book onto the development session.
If you're unsure about which squad to join drop us a message.

To be clear, squads are not decided at this session, there will be a lot of changing as we go on. So don't worry if you feel your in the wrong squad the first week.

Congratulations to everyone who received their A-Level results today. If you are interested in playing Ladies or Men's hockey at university then please keep an eye on our page for updates.

We are planning a Covid-19 safe season, this will be a great way to experience a mix of friendly and competitive hockey, along side lots of fun filled events welcoming you to our club which will be a great way to meet team mates and new friends.

We have 3 ladies teams and 2 men’s teams open to all abilities.
We have lots of social events planned included drinking and non-drinking which will be perfect in helping you settle into university life.

The new season is just ahead of us and with results day just one day away, we want to reassure you off all the opportunities joining our club bring.
Weekly themed socials, pub days, bbq and many other social event.
Regular competitive and non competitive matches weekly.
