Today, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day!

This years theme is mental health for all. No matter who you are, you are important and your mental health should be a priority.

There are many services you can use if you’re needing help, such as the organisation who are running a 24/7 text service with trained volunteers there to help, talk to you and make sure you’re doing alright.

Another is an online community where you are able to participate in discussions, blog about your feelings and mental health, and a whole list of other services that you can partake in all anonymously.

The website have a list of services there to help, and also ways to donate and help others in need.

Another service more local to most is who have a 24/7 service for students who are feeling overwhelmed, down, any feeling you are having they are there to talk to, and this is available through the QMU website on the student services panel.

Please do not be afraid to use any of the services mentioned above, or even talk to a friend, parent, lecturer, or even ourselves!

Please stay safe and take care of yourselves!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well and continuing to stay safe during these strange times. We wanted to pop on to give a big well done to our treasurer Laura, who has contributed to the study "parents responses to toys representing physical impairments", which was recently published in the journal of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Parents of children both with and without disabilities completed a survey regarding their perceptions of the toy prototypes and children with disabilities.

Additionally, a big congratulations to the other QMU students who contributed towards the study alongside QMU lecturers Sian Jones and Clare Uytman. Well done to Leanne Ali, Mohona, Bhuyan, Alicia Kaliff, William Muir and Kiia Uusital!

It's great to see students involved and a great accomplishment!
