Fantastic to hear how two Keele Business School alumni are progressing in their careers! Both were accounting students and graduated in 2017.

➡️ Leigh-Anne Hawkins, graduated with Accounting and Finance (First Class) and secured a graduate position with JCB. In February 2021 she passed her final CIMA exams and was joint first 'in the WORLD' in her final strategic case study exam 🎉.

➡️Jenny Borthorpe-Booth also graduated with Accounting and Finance (First Class) and secured a graduate position with BAE. She is now with working with Orchid Orthopedic Solutions and has also passed all her CIMA exams and is fully qualified 🎉.

Keele are offering 15 scholarships of up to £500 available to contribute towards the cost of a virtual summer school in 2021. Online summer schools are fantastic opportunity to enhance your subject knowledge, language ability or learn about new topics not available to you at Keele. They are also a great way to build an international network of contacts and friends from the comfort of your own home.

Applications are open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students who are not due to graduate in July 2021.

How do I apply?
Submit a 250-500 word motivation letter outlining how a summer programme will relate and impact your future aims and ambitions.
Deadline to Apply: Midday, Monday 17th May 2021

You will be informed of the outcome of your application on 31st May 2021 and payment will not be made until proof of a place on your chosen programme is obtained. It is expected that all bursary recipients complete a short report of their experience which can be used by Global Opportunities to promote virtual placements to future students.

Keele Business School is pleased to share an article published open access, by Associate Professor in Accounting, Dr Akrum Helfaya, in the European Accounting Review [CABS 3*/ABDC A*/Q1 in SJR & SCOPUS Journal Ranking]. Drawing on legitimacy, stakeholder, and impression management theories, Dr Helfaya, and his co-authors (Dr Tantawy Moussa from Westminster University, UK and Dr Amr Kotb from Zayed University, UAE) investigated the influence of environmental governance and performance factors on the UK FTSE100 environmental targets disclosure.
