Given Meta's arguably unethical raid on our data to feed their AI (and so recycle our data without attribution or compensation), I'm largely aiming to remove myself from facebook and other Meta platforms. My interactions will be minimal while I suss out how far I can withdraw without losing the information I currently value from people and organisations I follow. I invite you to consider alternatives, such as Mastodon for sharing info and having a presence on the internet.

Don't forget: Cafe Central 12noon, look out for the jar of lights and join us for 'Godly convo' where we chat together and include God in the conversation. Meeting for prayer as you've probably never done it before. Drop by, say hello, join in....

Godly Convo is taking place during Lent in Café Central on Thursdays. Drop in between 12 and 13h30.
Godly convo is where we talk with one another and God *at the same time*. We do it in a café because that encourages us to maintain normal tones of voice and open eyes. It’s a drop-in, so just turn up when you can and for as long as you feel able. Grab a coffee and a bite to eat and come and join me/us at a table somewhere in the café. Look out for the table with the jam-jar of LED lights.
Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before -it’s a chance to learn and experiment among friendly faces and curious fellow-travellers on the road called prayer. Do bring along anyone else who might be intrigued or interested.

CALL OUT -we're looking for students at Northumbria who could help with some research about your experience at university. The research asks how universities can create a positive environment for students who hold a range of different perspectives on life.
The purpose of the study is to examine how different UK university environments enable or impede positive relationships among students who hold different worldviews or perspectives on life, including different religious and non-religious perspectives. We want to understand how to make university a positive and inclusive experience for all students.
You are invited to participate in this research if you are a student or member of staff with awareness of, or engagement with, themes relating to religion and worldview diversity at the university.

Get in touch with me before 6 Feb if possible and I'll let you know more to put you in touch with the researchers.

University Jewish Chaplaincy knows that the coming academic year will be unusually intense for Jewish students on campuses across the UK.

This, on 25 May, looks to have a good load of stuff in it -please do get along and share it with others.
