NEWCASTLE CASTLE TRIP this Sunday 18.10.26.

- Meeting at 1:45pm at The Black Gate
- Tour starts at 2pm
- We have 30 places on the tour
- First come first serve to get free entry, so advisable to arrive promptly

Newcastle castle is a Norman castle built in the 12th Century and sits on the site of the former Roman fort Pons Aelius.

Accessibility: ‘The Castle consists of two buildings: the Castle Keep and Black Gate. While the Black Gate is fully accessible, the Castle Keep has many steep stairs and uneven surfaces.’ - From the Castle website.

Meeting at Luther’s at 8pm, moving on to the Three Bulls Heads, Pumphrey’s, and finishing at Tropiloco!

There will be a discount code in the arc soc group chat for your Tropiloco tix.

Dress code for the archaeology society is something green.

- There is no pressure to drink anything at our socials!
- Spiking is an issue we take very seriously - please speak to any member of the committee if you feel that you have been spiked. Never leave your drink unattended!
- You are welcome to stay as long or as little as you would like at our socials!
- For our socials, please remember your ID, payment method, and a sufficiently charged phone!
- Please remember to eat before going out, as an empty stomach can increase the effects of alcohol.
- Look out for your friends and fellow society members! Archaeology is all about teamwork.
- Please approach any member of the committee with any concerns - we are here for you!

We are very excited to announce that Archaeology Society are collaborating on the RCTN Charity Event on the 27th of October!! We are raising money for a charity dear to our hearts, R**e Crisis, and are very excited to see our members there!!

Tickets are £3 online, or £5 at the door!
Every ticket includes a raffle ticket!
Tickets are purchasable at https://linktr.ee/RCTN_EVENT_NCLUNI or via the link in our bio! This link k gives you the opportunity to purchase tickets via either the Irish Society or History Society pages on the SU website (just click the ‘society shop’ dropdown!!).
