Trinity Solutions Academy Our Pathways to Work programme is exceptional as we recruit students every week! Our programme is a roll on, roll off course with a strong vocational focus.

If you’re aged 16-19 and interested in Construction, Motor Vehicle, Hair & Beauty, Teaching Assistant, or Business Administration, we could have the opportunity for you! Learners can gain qualifications up to Level 2 in industries such as Motor Vehicle, Salon, Construction, Teaching Assistant, and Business Administration, as well as undertaking work-based training in Highways or Pathways Maintenan

ce. Each vocation offers our students the opportunity to participate in the highest quality work placements with prominent and reputable companies across Newcastle. Many of our learners have gone on to gain apprenticeships or employment this way. Learners are also able to study towards their English and Maths qualifications, from Functional Skills up to GCSE, and develop their knowledge of Digital Skills and PSD through creative and engaging weekly classroom sessions. Where possible and appropriate, we can offer overlays for dyslexia and smaller intervention sessions for learners who need extra support.

We hope you all have a fantastic and well deserved week off, a little reminder that our Trust will be closed this Friday (21st February 2025) for our staff training day so school will break up on Thursday the 20th of February and we'll see you all back on Monday the 3rd of March! 🥰

Next week is , as well as guest speakers and activities taking place at Trinity Solutions Academy, Learners are invited to attend Newcastle Civic Centre on Tuesday 11th February at 10.30am for the National Apprenticeship Event where they will have the opportunity to meet with employers and training providers to support with progression opportunities.

Likewise, learners are invited to St James' Park on Wednesday 12th February 2025 from 3.30pm for the Annual My Future My Choice event to meet with employers, training providers, and providers of further and higher education as well as support organisations to support with progression beyond post 16.

Help Available - Gas & Electric: Unity in Community will be providing vouchers between £28 and £49 to help towards paying for gas and electric. To qualify you must pay for your energy through a prepayment meter and have not received energy vouchers from Unity in Community within the past year. This is in response to the ongoing cost of living crisis and beneficiaries can be working, unemployed, self-employed or retired. For more information and to register, call 01482 420836, Monday to Friday, 9am - 2pm – if busy, please keep trying.

Free School Meal vouchers will be provided for those learners in receipt of FSM over the Christmas holidays. Vouchers will be sent from Tuesday 10th December. If you have any issues, please get in touch with your site admin no later than the 18th of December 2024.

Trinity Solutions Academy is incredibly proud of former learner Tyler, who was honored as the Youth Build UK Young Builder of the Year 2024 at the House of Commons earlier this week. Tyler has also achieved a significant career milestone, recently being promoted to Trainee Site Manager at Keepmoat Homes. Congratulations, Tyler!

Joint Statement from Michael McHugh and Peter Carter, Board of Directors at Trinity Academy Newcastle Trust.
Shortly after the new term started Peter Carter stepped down as Chair of the Board of Directors at the end of his term of office and I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for his outstanding leadership during his tenure at the Academy Trust. His professionalism and dedication have been instrumental in guiding the Trust through challenging times, and his contributions have not gone unnoticed. Peter will continue to support the Trust at a local level and for this I am grateful.
As the newly appointed Chair of the Board of Directors, I am committed to building upon the foundation laid by Peter and the Board, and to furthering the Trust’s mission of providing exceptional education to all learners and becoming Trauma informed across the Trust by 2025. In line with this commitment my priorities include preparing the Trust and its academies for Ofsted assessment, collaborating closely with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives, and ensuring that every learner maximises their potential and seizes the opportunities available to them.
I am eager to work collaboratively with the Governance Structure, the leadership team, and all stakeholders to achieve these objectives and to uphold the highest standards of educational excellence at the Trust.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the Trust’s continued success.
