Do you want to experience an all expenses paid for volunteer abroad opportunity in the field of mental health and enhance your CV? Then Psychsoc got you! Just drop by our info session this Friday if you are interested and get an idea of the options Newcastle University has.

➡️ Fill up the form in our Linktree to be given the zoom link for the info session & if you cannot attend you will be sent the recording and slides as well.

➡️ Newcastle University has up-to £2000 funding for students volunteering abroad which should cover all expenses for a 2-week opportunity. Lucy from Global Opportunities will talk us through that and also present relevant opportunities for Psychology students.

➡️ Ben from Travelteer will discuss all the aspects of their mental health programme in Sri Lanka and how you can both help the community as well as experience their culture during your stay.

➡️ Bella, now doing a placement year at Global Opportunities, will share her experience doing the mental health programme in Sri Lanka with Travelteer.

The Psychology Winter Ball is here!

We are very excited to announce that the PsychSoc Winter Ball will be taking place at The Hilton, Gateshead on Wednesday the 4th of December at 7pm! ⛄

The theme will be masquerade so put on your gowns and grab your classiest masks! 🍸

Tickets include a glass of bubbly on arrival and a three course meal! As well as this, there will be a photographer, DJ and lots of fun entertainment to get involved in!

Tickets are available on the NUSU website! Plus one’s are more than welcome to come (provided they have a ticket). Whilst we do have a large capacity, we recommend to grab your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

The Hilton is a fully wheelchair accessible venue and caters for all allergies and dietary requirements. Meal choices and seating preferences will be sent out via email to all guests that have purchased a ticket and should be completed ASAP!

There is still lots of info to come so keep your eyes peeled on our socials for all the details! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any enquiries via our email in our bio!
