Hi everyone!

Digital Intelligence will be running a Capture The Flag (CTF) event in a couple of weeks.
There will be loads of cybersecurity-based challenges and games for teams to compete in as well as representatives of the company being open for discuss careers in cyber and software engineering at the company itself.

MEMBERS ONLY EVENT!! (Memberships are still available to purchase via the NUSU website)

The teams can range from 2-6 members but if you can’t find a full team come along and we will decide some of the teams on the day.

Date: Saturday 22nd March 9:30AM-4:30PM
Location: USB 3.015(B)

Members will need to sign up by contacting [email protected] using your ncl email, and providing your:
- Full name
- Team name (if applicable)
- Year of study
- Your course title
- Any dietary requirements (pizza will be provided at the event)

How is AI being developed? Can students change the trajectory of the direction of AI?

Everyone (no matter your prior knowledge on the topic) can join us for a lecture-style event on AI w/ guest speaker Patrick Hussey where your questions regarding this constantly growing field will be answered.

Date: March 12th 2:30pm-4:30pm
Room: USB 3.018

The lecture will be followed by a networking session, where you can connect with fellow students, recent grads, and tech enthusiasts.

NUCATS x KCS hackathon will be taking place on 26th Feb from 12 to 4 pm at Room 2.022 🖥️

The teams who’ve already signed up will be provided with refreshments and snacks.

On 26th Feb, we’ll be getting the teams to interact with their project volunteers from KCS who they’ll be interacting with during the hackathon 💻

Hey everyone!

Get ready for a spooktacular 👻 evening because we’re hosting our first Halloween movie event this Tuesday! Since the votes for the poll had a tie, we’ll be screening two iconic horror films: Scream (1996) and The Thing (1982) 👻

Time: 5:15 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: HERB.G CA (Curtis Auditorium), Herschel Building (Main Campus)

Since this is a teaching space, we kindly ask that you do not bring any snacks that are likely to cause litter and make sure not to leave any rubbish behind.

Please note that this is a members-only event. As the free trial period has ended, we can no longer accept free trial memberships. If you’d like to bring any friends along, they’ll need to purchase a standard membership through our NUSU page.
