It will be an interactive careers event where prospective students can find out about education, training and career opportunities 📈

Yesterday one our tutors was honoured to speak at a Cancer Champion Celebration event in Shrewsbury. It was great to hear about the developments for lung cancer screening, and to hear the work that is happening within Powys to support residents living with cancer and their families.

As a department we have lots of plans for September onwards, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

Sorry for the silence, it’s been a very busy time for our learners who are busy completing assessments at the moment.

However….look at just one of the deliveries we have received this week 🙌🏼👏🏼 who can guess what it is?! Keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the order, it’s like Christmas 🎄🎁

Today we welcomed Miranda and Kerry from Lingen Davies who trained our Level 3 learners and staff to become Cancer Champions. We are looking forward to raising awareness of the disease through events and supporting others through having conversations.

We’ve had a lovely afternoon at the Festival of Wellbeing here at college today engaging with external agencies, enjoying the goodies that have been up for grabs 🍿🍭🍬 and coming in to contact with creepy crawlies 🐜🐍 Back in the classroom we have been learning a new skill of origami 🪭 and enjoying a cuppa and piece of cake ☕️🍰

It is so important that we all take a little time out to recharge our batteries, and it has been a great opportunity to remind ourselves of this ☺️

🌼 Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus! Happy St David’s Day! 🌼

Yesterday we researched the reason behind the celebrations of St David’s Day, practiced our Welsh, identified what Wales means to us, and drank Welsh tea and ate Welsh cakes 😋 it was lovely to celebrate Welsh culture and heritage and our students enjoyed reminiscing about what Wales means to them 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
