Starting tomorrow, an amber heat-health alert has been issued across most of the country. It’s in place from 8-12 July.
Many of us welcome the hot weather, but it can put some people’s health at risk - particularly if they’re vulnerable.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We would like to say a huge thank you to the kind patient who thoughtfully brought ice lollies in for our team last week during the heatwave. 🍦☀️

Your generosity and kindness were truly appreciated and brought a smile to everyone's face on a very hot day. Small gestures like this mean a great deal to our staff and remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring community.

From everyone at Danes Camp Medical Centre, thank you for thinking of us. Your kindness really did help us keep our cool! 😊

Wishing all our patients a safe and enjoyable summer. 🌞

Red4Research 2026 – Celebrating Everyone Who Makes Research Possible
Today, we proudly support , a national campaign celebrating everyone who participates in, supports, and delivers health and care research. Research doesn't happen by chance—it happens because of the dedication, collaboration, and commitment of patients, participants, clinicians, researchers, administrators, and support teams working together.
At the Primary Care Research Hub, we recognise the vital role that primary care plays in generating evidence that improves patient outcomes, shapes clinical practice, and strengthens healthcare services for our communities. Every study, every participant, and every member of the research team contributes to advancing knowledge and improving care for future generations.
A huge thank you to:
Our GP practices and primary care teams
Research participants and patient representatives
Research nurses, coordinators, and support staff
Investigators and collaborators
Everyone working behind the scenes to make research happen
Wear red, share your support, and help us celebrate the people behind research.
Together, we're building a healthier future through research.

Whether you are living with MND or supporting someone who is, your insights can help shape better care, improve services, and inform future research.

The survey is quick to complete and open until 26th June 2026.
Need support or prefer to complete it by phone? You can also take part via telephone or request a translation.

Every response truly makes a difference help ensure that families living with MND are heard.
