It’s the last weekend before the Children’s Centre closure consultation ends midnight Monday. Help raise the roof on social media to get those last responses in, extra signatures on petitions and the message out to Norfolk to ‘SAVE OUR CHILDREN’S CENTRES’.

Help us start a Twitter storm - here’s how

1. If you have a Twitter account please tweet pictures, messages and comments about Children’s Centres, what they mean to you, your family, your children and your community and what it would mean if you are shot down. Use the hashtag so everyone knows it’s about Norfolk Children’s Centres. Whether or not you posts your own tweets.....

2. Search in a Twitter for and it should bring up hundreds of previous tweets and retweets from others. Please retweet as many as you can over the weekend. Let’s get this campaign on the radar of as many people in Norfolk and beyond as we can. If you are not on Twitter or also use other social media.......

3. If you are on Facebook, Instagram or other social media channel use those to share, tag, post, like and spread the word.

For the 48 hours of Saturday and Sunday let’s make social media rock with the protests against the closure proposals!

Today, Saturday 6 October between 10 and 4 we'd like to start a social media blitz of people telling Norfolk why it is important to 'SAVE OUR CHILDREN'S CENTRES'.

Norfolk Tories persist in saying it is about buildings but we know it is about people. Already we have heard lots of stories - some moving, some harrowing and many talking about helping to tackle isolation, giving advice and reassurance to parents trying to make sense of being parents. Those are the concerns that can change views and may even influence Norfolk Tories.

PLEASE share and share and message anybody you think has a story to tell. Post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or wherever platform using the hashtag . Whether it's words, photos or videos please help us get the voice of Norfolk heard.

We'll gather everything people tell us and use it as evidence to support the campaign to Save Our Centres for children, families and communities.

Want some funky p***y political tunes for your ears? Peach Club is a four-piece Riot Grrrl band from Norwich.

Hot on the heels of Cherry Baby – the second cut from Peach Club’s EP of the same name, due out in January 2018 – the grrrls’ return to the Arts Centre is timely and eagerly anticipated.

Starting out with Norwich Arts Centre’s Sonic Youths programme, Peach Club are continuously moving up the scale, including supporting Mercury Prize nominees The Big Moon at NAC Presents: Norwich Sound + Vision 2017, plus fast-rising Afro-Punk duo NOVA TWINS at Camden Assembly at the end of November.

“Frontwoman Katie is very petite, and the way she sways and swaggers around the stage is phenomenal… It’s proper old school riot grrrl, but with hooks and singalong choruses.” (Outline Magazine)

Psychadelic five-piece Robust soul hail from University of East Anglia (UEA), and although they've been writing/performing together for less than a year they quickly established themselves as high-energy favourites on the Norwich music scene. Not to be missed.
