Thankyou to everyone that attended our talk last week! It was inspiring to see what Zoë has achieved in such a short period of time and brilliant to gain further insight into another direction Meteorology may take you.

Our next event will be at 6pm on December 1st with Chris and Morrie, where they will show some media from their storm chase earlier this year. The talk will be in Lecture Theatre 0.01 of the Julian Study Centre. ⛈️

There will be drinks, snacks and a photo competition, so please come along and get involved if you can! 📸

Thankyou to everyone that attended our talk with Brian last week! The turnout was fantastic and it was great to see some new faces.

Our next event will be at 6pm on November 10th with Zoë Johnson, where she will be speaking about her move from Operational Meteorology to Journalism! This talk will be in Room 0.05 of the Enterprise Centre, UEA.

The talk will be in person and online, but snacks and drinks are available, so please be sure to come along in person if you can.

We are back! On Monday 6th October at 6pm, we will be hosting our first RMetS event of the 2025/26 academic year. This will be held in the Enterprise Centre at UEA 🎓

Professor Brian Golding, the president of the Royal Meteorological Society, will be presenting a talk on the forecasting of summer thunderstorms and how this may change in the future ⛈

This talk will be in person only, so if you want to meet Brian and ask questions, be sure to attend on the day. In case you needed another incentive, there will be free pizza on offer!🍕

On Monday 19th May at 6pm, we will be hosting our final RMetS event of the academic year! This will be held in the large lecture theatre at the Enterprise Centre.

Emma and Amelia recently graduated from UEA with Environmental Science degrees, and will be chatting about their career paths since then, as well as what their current jobs entail.

This is a particularly interesting talk for anyone that is graduating this summer, giving a different perspective into how the job market may be navigated.
