Run Norwich is almost here, and Team Norse is ready to take on the iconic 10K.
We spoke to Sarah Abbott, Associate Director, who is preparing for her first official race after a challenge from her family.
"I'm very much a novice when it comes to running. My sons, however, are avid runners, and I have spent many years supporting them at marathons and 10Ks, including Run Norwich 2024. It was there that I jokingly said, 'I could do this!' They found this hilarious: 'You? Run?' and that was where the challenge began. They said I couldn't do it... so naturally, I had to prove them wrong!
"I am looking forward to the finish line and hopefully celebrating afterwards with friends, family and colleagues. More than anything, I am excited to be part of such a great event."
Sarah's story is a reminder that every runner has their own reason for taking on the challenge, whether it's achieving a personal goal, embracing something new or simply enjoying the experience.
As a strategic partner of the Community Sports Foundation we're proud to support Run Norwich, an event that brings people together, encourages healthier lifestyles and raises vital funds for communities across Norfolk.
