Our Executive MBA students recently undertook their Strategic Business Planning module, applying their knowledge and experience to real challenges faced by a range of organisations 💼

Working with clients engaged through the Dryden Enterprise Centre, students developed strategic recommendations to support growth, innovation, market development and long-term sustainability ✅

This year's projects reflected the diversity and ambition of the clients our students worked with, including:

🔹 TalkBeyond, an AI-powered startup aiming to make British Sign Language learning more accessible
🔹 The Possibility Partnership, improving business operations and performance using the power of technology
🔹 Outkruit, building a community to support the sustainable career development of young professionals and creatives
🔹 First Gate Solutions Limited, a growing consultancy helping organisations improve operational efficiency and commercial management
🔹 Moon and Star Jewellery, a fast-growing jewellery brand with ambitious plans for expansion and new product development
🔹 It'seeze Web Design, an established franchise exploring strategies for growth and long-term succession planning

From NBS to PwC consultant and education consultancy founder 🚀

After completing his undergraduate degree at NBS, Basel Saadi chose to continue his journey with the MSc Economics, Banking and Finance to deepen his expertise and prepare for a career in consulting and finance 💼

Since graduating, Basel has worked on public sector finance and economic advisory projects with PwC Middle East in Dubai and gone on to launch his own educational consulting agency, supporting students with university admissions and career guidance across multiple countries 🌍

Reflecting on his time at NBS, Basel highlights the value of real-world financial analysis, risk management and econometrics, alongside opportunities to develop key skills through networking, industry engagement and collaboration with an international student community 🤝

His advice for prospective students?

🚀 From ideas to impact: Meet Carl Ellis, Co-Founder and Director of Mindful Sprouts CIC 📖

After studying Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at Nottingham Business School, Carl turned his passion for innovation and social impact into a thriving social enterprise – creating multilingual educational colouring books and workshops that help children learn, develop and thrive 🌟

Alongside producing and donating resources to children and schools, Carl was recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 – a testament to the power of combining entrepreneurial thinking with a clear social purpose 🙌

For anyone considering postgraduate study, Carl's advice is simple:
