Are you currently working towards a Transactional Analysis qualification with a Registered Training Establishment (RTE)?

The UKATA Training Bursary offers grants of up to £500 for UKATA members (excluding subscribers) to support formal training, workshops, supervision, exam preparation groups, and other relevant professional development activities. Applications are open until 30 June 2026.

UKCP student and trainee members can also apply for the UKCP Trainee Bursary Scheme, which supports those experiencing financial hardship and trainees from under-represented groups. Applications are open until 2 July 2026.

There’s a damaging pay inequity affecting therapists across NHS England. It doesn’t just impact individual practitioners, it affects the future of the profession.

Over the past year, we've supported members across 40 NHS Talking Therapies services to challenge inequitable pay. This has included developing practical resources, working alongside members, and engaging with services, unions, NHS Trusts and care boards to make the case for change.

That work has already led to positive outcomes for members and is helping drive wider change across the profession.

Today, we’re sharing some difficult news.

Nottinghamshire Mind has made the very difficult decision to close some of our community services and groups in Nottinghamshire.

Like many charities, we are navigating ongoing changes in funding. Support from fundraising, grants and council funding has helped sustain these services, but increasing financial pressures across the sector, alongside reduced public spending and greater competition for funding, mean decisions like this are sometimes unavoidable.

We want to be clear that this decision is not a reflection of the value, impact or need for these services. We know they have made a meaningful difference to the people who use them and to the wider community.

While some services and groups will continue, this is a difficult moment for everyone affected. We would like to thank our service users, staff, volunteers, partners, funders and supporters who have helped make these services possible.

While this news is hard to share, it also gives us an opportunity to listen, learn and refocus on what our communities need most. We remain committed to providing mental health support across Nottinghamshire and to shaping future services with care, learning and hope 💙
