gs and medicines. Our 4-year undergraduate Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) degree challenges students to become the future leaders of the profession. As well as the UK-based degree, we run a very successful MPharm programme with our Malaysia Campus. Our UK students have the opportunity to spend part of the course at the Malaysia Campus in Years 2 and 4. We are the first School of Pharmacy to offer a fully integrated 5-year MPharm programme which includes the pre-registration year. Our research impacts on patient care and the UK economy through pioneering studies in drug discovery, regenerative medicine, drug delivery, cell and molecular biology, nanotechnology, health economics and many other fields. PhD students from across the world undertake cutting edge research before commencing on careers that take them to top of the pharmaceutical industry, academia and clinical pharmacy.

As we mark 100 years of pharmacy education and research at Nottingham, we’re excited to share that the discipline of Pharmacy and Pharmacology has been ranked 8th in the world in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 🎉

This achievement reflects a century of innovation and discovery across our university - from creating new medicines to advancing nanomaterials for targeted drug delivery, and even exploring pharmaceutical care in space. It’s a huge testament to the dedication of our amazing staff, students, alumni and partners.

Congratulations to Professor Kang Nee Ting, Head of School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at UNM Pharmacy, on receiving the 2025 Chris Hawes Award for Outreach and Education from the Royal Microscopical Society.

Professor Kang Nee Ting receives the 2025 Chris Hawes Award for Outreach and Education by the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) for her outstanding outreach efforts to bring microscopy to thousands of children in deprived Malaysian communities.

Prof Ting's work include science workshops in rural towns in Sarawak and Sabah (located in Borneo) and receiving attention and funding from the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and, Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Sarawak. 👏👏👏

Researchers from the University of Nottingham's Centre for Additive Manufacturing, alongside the Schools of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, have led research that has fabricated personalised medicine using Multi-Material Inkjet 3D Printing (MM-IJ3DP).

A new technique for 3D printing medication has enabled the printing of multiple drugs in a single tablet, paving the way for personalised pills that can deliver timed doses.
