EXCITING NEWS!

We are able to announce our first partner for the upcoming academic year - and it's one that will help you all save a lot of money!

To quote Wikipedia, The Book Depository 'is a UK-based online book seller with a large catalogue offered with free shipping to over 160 countries' that not only sells new books at a cheaper price than Amazon, but also sends out freebies - such as decorative bookmarks and the like - with every order. Having done a preliminary search for a variety of books that are on your reading lists, it appears that pretty much all of them are stocked by the Book Depository.

We've been working hard over at the English Society HQ to strike a deal for all of you! So, by buying through us, not only will you SAVE MONEY and GET FREEBIES, but you will also help us here at the English Society. Our agreement with the Book Depository can be financially rewarding, and every penny raised will go straight back into the English Society. This means BIGGER, BETTER and CHEAPER events for you all throughout the year! But of course, this is all dependent on you lovely lot!

I know you'll all be buying your books for the coming year anyway, so why not SAVE MONEY, GET FREEBIES and HELP OUT YOUR SOCIETY? And of course, feel free to buy 'fun books' through this link too!

Our affiliate link is the following: http://www.bookdepository.com/?a_aid=uonenglishsoc

The English Society took a trip to the D H Lawrence Heritage Centre, Museum and walked the blue line tour of famous buildings from Lawrence's life and works. Andrew Harrison gave us elusive insights into how Lawrence's works align with his experiences of living in Eastwood.
