🌟 We are so proud to share Jordan’s story in our latest alumni spotlight.

Jordan trained with us to teach English despite studying Criminology at university, inspired by the impact his own secondary school maths teacher had on him growing up. His training year was not without its challenges, but with the support of his hub lead and mentor he grew in confidence, found his feet and is now thriving in his ECT year.

His story is a brilliant reminder that your degree does not have to define the subject you teach and that the right support makes all the difference.

🏆 We are delighted to share that Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training has been shortlisted for the Innovation in Technology Award at the NASBTT, The National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers Awards 2026.

We are incredibly proud to work with CENTURY Tech who we partnered with to create an ITT-specific solution for assessing and developing trainees’ English and mathematics skills. What started as an innovative alternative to paper-based assessments has grown into something available across the sector and we could not be prouder of what we have built together.

A huge well done to all of this year’s nominees and good luck to everyone on the night.

🌅 Earlier this month our Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Primary trainees headed off on a residential trip and what a few days it was!

The cohort explored Crich Tramway Museum, visited the historic Ilam Hall, Carsington Water and rounded things off with an early morning sunrise walk up Thorpe Cloud.

Time away together like this is such a special part of the training year and a reminder that when you train with us you are not just joining a programme, you are joining a community 💫

🌟 Back in September our Leicestershire Secondary trainees took part in an epic team building day!

Fire building, shelter construction, a water flow challenge using nothing but bamboo and rope, and navigating a snake pit blindfolded with only their teammates to guide them. Safe to say they were thrown in at the deep end!

But that is exactly the point. Communication, trust and working together under pressure are skills that will serve every one of them throughout their training year and in the classroom beyond it.
