The Ingenuity Lab, part of the Haydn Green Institute, is a space where students and alumni of The University of Nottingham can explore ideas and start their own enterprises. If you wish to join The Ingenuity Lab, there are two types of memberships, Standard and Venture; one of which will suit your needs. There are a range of benefits link to one or both of the memberships, including:

• Grants and investment support
• Mentoring and placement opportunities
• Sector specialist centres

We’re launching our brand new Build Your Business series for 2026, with six practical sessions exploring the key skills every start-up needs. From shaping your idea and understanding your market, to finances, business structure, planning, and pitching. Join the full series or drop into the sessions that matter most to you!

At the end of our sessions, you'll be able to submit an entry for our competition where you’ll have the chance to win grant funding and other prizes to take your business idea further! 🚀
