Led by UoN Feminist Society, we’ll take a gentle lakeside walk through Highfields Park, followed by a guided meditation led by UoN Buddhism + Meditation Society.

Schedule:

🩷 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 🩷

International Women's Day is such an important day to commemorate all the work women have done to fight for gender equality!

Today we remember how far we've come but also all the work that still needs to be done. We can use this day to shine a light on all the issues that are still prevalent for women in our society.

As the feminist society at UoN, this day is obviously very important to us and if you are looking to drive change and share views on feminist issues, we would recommend coming along to our next society meet-up!

🩷 Safe Steps Initiative by UoN FemSoc x Bloomwell Collective 🩷

On Thursday, we celebrated a very special evening focused on wellbeing and looking after our mental health in collaboration with the Bloomwell Collective!

💌 We wrote affirmation cards to keep with us to make sure we stay motivated and inspired
❤️‍🩹 Discussed ways we like to look after our mental health and wellbeing by making small daily changes at uni
🧘‍♂️ Followed a guided meditation for a moment of calm
🌱 Learned about the Safe Steps Initiative, where we will be doing wellbeing walks to build community
🧼 Received free lush goodies!

We hope everyone enjoyed this meet-up and is looking forward to our wellbeing walks!
