Congratulations to Professor Ardhendu Behera for his involvement in a project working towards identifying criminals from a single cell. The Earlham Institute-led project was awarded nearly £625,000 to explore whether cutting-edge sequencing technologies could be used by forensic scientists to identify individuals who have been involved in crime.

New advances in single cell DNA profiling could make it possible to identify individuals from even the smallest traces.
