Lunar Training We’re passionate about helping young people on their journey towards fulfilling successful careers Lunar Training is a new kind of vocational education.

We fundamentally believe in harnessing each student’s talents, developing practical skills alongside education, to ensure they are best placed to enter and succeed in the work place in their chosen field. Lunar Training was developed from Lunar Racing, founded by Paul Kneeshaw in 2003. Paul set up Lunar Racing whilst working as secondary school teacher in Wellingborough specialising in science, te

chnology, IT and maths . Paul felt that schools did not do enough to encourage students who were vocationally motivated, often pushing them in the wrong direction rather than helping them find their feet, find out what they enjoy doing and doing everything possible to help them spend their lives doing it. As Paul’s passion was motor racing and he had been a mechanic in the British GT championship, he set up Lunar Racing that worked with 14-18 year old school children to build and maintain real racing cars which competed against professional racing teams in professional championships. The main goal was to educate these students and give them the skills to transition successfully into the world of work. Jonathan Norman, who runs his own export business, joined forces with Paul in 2013, sharing the vision to bring education and vocational experience together to equip young people with the skills needed by employers, making them more employable and more likely to thrive and succeed in the sectors they choose. Jonathan has developed Lunar Training, increasing the courses offered in differing sectors and launching pre-apprenticeship courses to help students transition from school and be ready to enter full business apprenticeships.
