Over 6 months ago I launched my charity Fighting for You, providing students access to legal and practical support in holding the University of Oxford externally accountable.
As a results I have been:
1) Threatened with discipline unless I stopped campaigning
2) Had slurs towards me and my family from members of staff
3) Refused access to the standard complaints procedures
4) However, as I promised I didn't give up and we've helped tens of students receive justice and basic educational rights to support them have an equal chance to releasing their potential

Today I announce my next step in my mission to change this place for the better and announce my turn to the Student Union for my campaigning.
After a year and half at Oxford having a severe visual impairment and illnesses, in early January I recieved my first accessible (enlarged) piece of reading before the essay was due. But, whilst fighting for people throughout the last 6 months I know so many others still don't get this. I've received entitled provisions only through months of arguing, pressuring and pleading. I am very eager and passionate to take on these fights for you, because I understand the frustration and loneliness and the tiredness. I've been there my whole life- it has taken a while to build up resilience but my childhood memories is flooded with times of being stuck in the back of a class room not seeing the presentation or the text books. I am not ashamed to say that at first I turned to rebelling, put myself in serious risks. But then I took that frustration and held it tight, saying that no one else will ever have to feel this, nor live with this exclusion, not on my watch. Yet I've been extremely considerate in my frankness in thinking, yet am still comfortable saying this is by far the most stubborn and negligent institution I've experienced.
I believe that my experience in activism and leadership in campaign has given me a good vision of how to achieve compromise and pressure for the university to join us in making this place more accessible 🗳📣
