*ETHNIC MINORITIES FORMAL DINNER*

All JCR and MCR ethnic minorities are invited to our first formal dinner since Confluence's creation on Tuesday of Week 4, 2nd November! The event will include pre-drinks in the Magrath Room at 19:45 followed by a dinner in hall at 20:15, and will be presided over by the newly-appointed Black British History Tutor and Brittenden fellow, Dr. Meleisa Ono-George.

If you're planning to attend, please fill out this form asap to book as there are limited spaces!
The form will close Tuesday 19th October.

This will be a great chance for ethnic minorities at Queen's to come together since the pandemic, so would love to see all of you there!

In celebration of Black History Month, Nadia and I want to gauge interest on what events people would like to attend and when. As part of Confluence @ Queen's we'd love to see as many members of the JCR and MCR as possible at these events, so would really appreciate your input!

Hi all,

Welcome to Confluence @ Queen's - thank you for joining us! Chante Price and I are the JCR's current BAME reps and the admins of this page. If you are interested in monitoring this page with us, please feel free to get in touch! We are especially interested to hear from anyone in the MCR who would be willing to help.

Just dropping a post to encourage everyone to attend the Minority Ethnics Brunch on Tuesday 5th of October at 11am in the Junior Common Room! It'd be really lovely to see returning undergraduates there as well as freshers and to establish a support system between years. There's going to be free food :))

'Confluence ’s was set up in Week 0 of October, 2020. Confluence is a space for the ethnic minorities and allies to come together, mingle, exchange ideas, share in each other’s cultures and expand horizons. The aim is to bring about a sense of community for ethnic minorities and allies across Common Rooms, academic and non-academic staff and students, and to foster meaningful interaction among them' - Dr Poorna Mysoor
