Happy May Day!

"One of the great traditions in Oxford is that of May Morning, the time when the city celebrates the coming of Spring. Since the early 16th century, the first day of May has begun at 6am with Magdalen College Choir singing from the top of the Great Tower, welcoming the rising sun. The occasion typically attracts crowds of thousands of people to the High Street below, bringing together Oxford's communities to enjoy dancing, singing and revelry, and to listen to the Choir from the foot of the Tower."

Magdalen quickly became one of Oxford’s most prominent colleges. Kings and Princes visited us, including Edward IV, Richard III and James I. We soon produced alumni who achieved great things in later life, including Thomas Wolsey, Fellow here in the 1490s, and Henry VIII’s chief minister for two decades..."

COLLEGE SPOTLIGHT: TRINITY COLLEGE

Trinity, the youngest of the colleges we work with, was established in 1555. "Trinity College was founded in the sixteenth century in what was then a rural outpost, and which now forms the heart of Oxford’s city centre. The college has developed over four and a half centuries into a vibrant and diverse educational community that has produced award-winning academics, successful leaders in the business, political and economic world, and passionate public servants, teachers and campaigners."
