The Faculty is delighted to learn that former Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics student Alvin Tan, who graduated in 2020, has been awarded one of this year's prizes for an Outstanding Undergraduate Dissertation in Linguistics by the Linguistics Association of Great Britain for research work undertaken during his undergraduate studies at Oxford. The LAGB awards prizes annually for outstanding dissertations or long-form essays in any subfield of linguistics written by undergraduates. Alvin received the award for his Linguistics Project “Copular Constructions in Colloquial Singaporean English”. Many congratulations, Alvin!
