Announcement: Call for Papers

The Oxford Migration Studies Society is excited to announce that our 2025 conference will be taking place on the 17th-18th of May at St. Catherine’s College Oxford! Centering on the theme Shifting Borders, the conference seeks to address the manifest ways in which the notion of the border has been (re)negotiated through technological advancement, cultural transformation, policy, and political change. Over the course of the two days, the conference will bring together students, academics, and practitioners alike together for diverse academic panels alongside film screenings and evening events.

We invite you to submit an abstract of 150-200 words for a presentation of around 15-20 minutes on the topic of ā€˜Shifting Borders’ by the 14th March. Successful applicants will be informed shortly after the deadline. We are hoping to build as diverse a programme as possible and welcome submissions from a range of both disciplinary and geographic backgrounds from postgraduates and undergraduates in their final year.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts and seeing you at the conference!
