📢 Congratulations to Exeter College alumna Dr Shuyu Lin (2012, MEng Engineering Science), who has launched Potatote, an Oxford-based brand creating tote bags inspired by the city’s architecture, landmarks, and everyday scenes.

Founded in 2025, Potatote combines hand-drawn illustrations with a focus on quality and functionality, and recently collaborated with Exeter’s MCR on a limited-edition design inspired by the view of the Radcliffe Camera from Fellows’ Garden.

Join Exeter College Fellow Professor Nandini Das at the Victoria and Albert Museum as she discusses her new book, This Little World: A New History of Tudor and Stuart England, with Alex von Tunzelmann.

Drawing on extensive archival research, the book reconsiders early modern England through the lives of merchants, migrants, travellers, writers, artists, and envoys, revealing a society shaped by movement, encounter, and exchange.

📢 Congratulations to Exeter College alumnus the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson (1988, PPE), who has been announced as Canada’s next Ambassador to the European Union.

Mr Wilkinson has served in several senior Cabinet positions since entering the Canadian Parliament in 2015, including Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

📢 Congratulations to Dr George Green, Supernumerary Fellow at Exeter College, who has been shortlisted for the Breakthrough Researcher Award at this year’s University of Oxford Vice-Chancellor’s Awards.

Dr Green’s recognition reflects the impact of his work bringing together the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source and the University of Oxford. His research will feature in the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards Showcase on 2 June at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.
