Dinner and Discussion
We at QuantCo are excited to support the Oxford Women in Computer Science society as a Gold Sponsor this year. We invite you to join several of our women colleagues from our European offices for an informal dinner to discuss our work and learn more about their paths to data science, deep learning, and software engineering.
The evening will be held in an informal setting, allowing for small-group conversations about our projects and culture. You will havethe opportunity to hear firsthand about our initiatives in health research, such as:
Medical Imaging: Using deep learning to detect cancer from MRI scans.Analytics: Estimating treatment effects and forecasting health outcomes.Health Insurance: Developing software to help insurers manage hospital billing and risk.About QuantCo: QuantCo is a leading applied AI company. We build scalable systems that enhance decision-making and automate complex processes with measurable economic impact for top-tier public and private sector organizations — with a focus on regulated industries such as insurance and healthcare. Our technology fuses state-of-the-art generative AI with rigorous econometric optimization and causal inference, enabling optimized decisions and automation grounded in both structured and unstructured data while maintaining explainability and traceability where it matters.

See you there soon! ✨

We conclude the celebration of OxWoCS Women’s International Month with Allison Clement. Alli is finishing her DPhil in Computer Science, where she combines the power of image processing and text analysis to improve diagnosis prediction and the explainability of the resulting diagnoses. This aspect is absolutely relevant for clinical decisions. Let’s hear from Alli and learn more about her journey from Mechanical Engineering to Computer Science.

The Women’s International Month is about to end, but the impact of our achievements and recognition in science is just beginning. ✨

To celebrate Women's International Month with OxWoCS, we're highlighting women's groundbreaking contributions to computing. We sat down with Ambre Bertrand, a DPhil student in Computational Cardiovascular Science, who uses computational methods to analyze data for diabetes-induced cardiac disorders. Her work demonstrates the impact of advanced computer science in addressing critical challenges. We hope it ignites curiosity and encourages further exploration. ✨

March is more than just about International Women’s Day. At OxWoCS, we’re celebrating the entire month by recognizing the remarkable achievements of women, especially in computing.
To commemorate this occasion, we’ve put together a special series showcasing inspiring researchers from the Department of Computer Science.
Today, we’re thrilled to introduce our first feature: meet Kaal, a PhD student working with graphs for high-risk fields.
Stay tuned for our upcoming posts as we continue to highlight more incredible women this month. We hope Kaal’s story inspires others to see computer science as a powerful and exciting field for study and career.
