We are an Oxford Brookes University society whose aim is to promote engagement and understanding of politics and NOT to exam and test people on their political knowledge. We hold two main variants of sessions, formal debates on current affairs and issues, and non-politics related socials focused on allowing our members to interact, have fun and meet like-minded people. We welcome members from ALL

Oxford Brookes courses regardless of their link to politics and international relations. All we ask for is for our members to be respectful of one another's views and opinions regardless of disagreements. Hope everyone is having a lovely start to week 5. We are back with a debate topic that came in second in the topic vote. We’ll be discussing China’s repression of Uyghur Muslims, Uyghur detainment and forced labour camps as well as what should the appropriate international response be. All viewpoints welcome to join the conversation. As always, keeping it chill, kind and respectful 🙂

Hope everyone is having an awesome week! Sorry for the late post guys.
We are back this week for a club night out tonight at Plush in the City Centre. We will be meeting outside at around 11pm and heading in once we’ve got everyone together. Feel free to bring any friends along 🙂
