Call for Papers for a Panel on “Philosophy of Religion – considering Perspectives on Religion from the Inside and Emic Research in Theology and Religious Studies” at the European Academy of Religion from 19 – 23 June 2023 at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland)
Philosophy of Religion is reflecting religion philosophically in the diversity of philosophies. More important than religious traditions with its scriptures and practices seem to be in philosophy of religion reason, which makes reflected discourses on issues of religion universally possible. This panel invites contributions, which are especially reflecting on the question, how much and in what sense research in theology and in religious studies, which
develop views from inside on religions, their doctrines and practices, can and should be relevant for philosophy of religion.
This panel is in cooperation with the European Society for Philosophy of Religion (ESPR).
