The Spanish Ambassador in the U.K., HE José Pascual Marco, and the Oxford Spanish Society are delighted to invite you to the event with Minister of Defence of Spain, Margarita Robles: “The Contribution of Defence to Peace and Stability.” The event will be held on Thursday, 6th June 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. This is the first time the Minister of Defence speaks at the University of Oxford.

This event will be moderated by María Ramírez, Deputy Managing Editor and International Correspondent at elDiario.es. The event will be in Spanish with simultaneous interpretation, and it will be followed by a drinks reception.

This February 22nd at 6pm in Blavatnik School of Government, we have the great pleasure to host world leading Economist, Politician and EU expert Luis Garicano, together with Journalist and Author Eduardo Suarez. Luis will discuss the incoming challenges of the EU. From AI, to inflation, ecology transition, fiscal unification and uprise of populism among many others. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis until maximum capacity is reached. If you would like to learn more about (geo)politics, international relations, economics and future global challenges, you don't want to miss out on this one. We hope to see you all there.
