Wedding season, hello! 👋

We’re getting ready for the wedding season at the Bodleian, and looking forward to so many amazing weddings over the summer. We’ll be joined by couples having their ceremonies and receptions with us. The Divinity School is a dream reception venue, with tall windows to let in the light and a dazzling ceiling, it’s the setting for an evening you won’t forget.

A little throwback to a beautiful combined ceremony that we were honoured to host a few years ago. ❤️

This couple used both the Divinity School and Convocation House for a legal ceremony and traditional ceremony. It was a wonderful day and we were honoured to be able to assist in making it possible.

Happy Earth Day! 🌳

Earth Day is an opportunity for the world to give thanks back to Earth and encourage sustainability and climate education. As a part of the University of Oxford, we are guided by the university’s policy on sustainability, but the Bodleian’s Weddings Team are certified with the Carbon Literacy Training to educate ourselves on best practices in the wedding industry on sustainability.

We work with wonderful local suppliers as well, and we are pleased to say that they strive to provide sustainable practices. We encourage all couples to make sustainable choices with their weddings, and choosing local suppliers is an excellent act of kindness towards the planet.
