How do you describe something when the words don’t exist? 💭

This question lies at the heart of Finding Words, a major Ministry of Justice-funded project exploring how Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi-speaking communities understand and communicate experiences of child abuse, in which Regent's EDI Fellow Sabah Kaiser has played an important role.

Drawing on her expertise in safeguarding, survivor engagement and community interpreting, as well as her own experiences, Sabah has helped explore how language can shape disclosure, understanding and access to support.

"People often assume that language simply exists and needs to be translated. This project asks much deeper questions about where language comes from, whose voices shaped it, what meanings it carries, and whether it genuinely serves the people who need it most.”

We are celebrating yet another year of excellent academic results for Regent's students 👏

This year, nearly a third of our undergraduates will graduate with a First class degree, and everyone will leave Oxford with a 2.2 or above. Postgraduate results are still incoming, and so far, our students have already achieved 8 Distinctions and 8 Merits!

There have been individual wins too! Congratulations to Niall McCormack, who was awarded the J. C. A. Meldrum Fieldwork Prize; to Guy Rose, who has received the Law Faculty Prize in Trade Marks and Brands; and to Heng Hsu, who won the Law Faculty Prize for Best Case Study.

We are extremely proud of our students and all they have achieved. Their results are a testament to their hard work and dedication, and also to the support of our tutors and lecturers, who ensured that they could fulfil their academic potential.

Congratulations to the Class of '26. Whatever you go on to do next, we are rooting for you. You'll always have a home at Regent's ❤️

A behind-the-scenes peek at some of the delicious food our wonderful catering team produce at Regent's!

We pride ourselves on using fresh, seasonal, and mostly local ingredients for our dishes. From much-beloved mac-n-cheese to a classic French onion soup to a very sophisticated dessert for a dinner at the Principal's Lodgings - everything tastes incredible.

A big thank you to the team for making sure we enjoy every single meal 👏

Coinciding with the University's Meeting Minds weekend, this September, the Angus Library and Archive is putting on a special exhibition on William Tyndale, the first person to translate the New Testament directly from the original Greek into English.

Tyndale's translation as a Game Changer, and phrases that he coined still resonate today in 2026. No other English writer, not even Shakespeare, has reached so many readers.

Inspired by the 500th anniversary of the publication of Tyndale's translation, we will use treasures from the Angus - including Tyndale's 1536 New Testament - to take you on a journey through Bible translation from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries.
