We have many Penguins in the library, but would you like to see some real life ones in College? Beaverly is doing her best impression, but you can help us go one better by completing the Bodleian Libraries Reader Survey, link below.

The college with the highest proportion of responses from students will win the fabulous prize of a visit from some penguins! Alpacas or an ice-cream van are also options, but Beaverly and your librarians would very much like to see the penguins.

You can also win one of ten Β£50 vouchers for yourself in the prize draw.

See if you can spot the book written by St Anne's alumnus Michael Dillon, a pioneering early trans figure, doctor, and Buddhist monk πŸ‘€ (for more information on his extraordinary life check out our old blog post about him via our website - link in bio).

You might have noticed some new things in the library... last term we received a generous donation of some noise cancelling headphones from the JCR, which added to a selection of assistive equipment that we were already in the process of buying!
This term you'll find the equipment out and ready to use in the foyer of Hartland library and the ground floor reading room in the new library. Feel free to use anything that makes your studying easier, whether it be a cosy blanket, a footrest, or a fidget toy. Watch this space for some new additions later in the term!

Looking to take a break from studying? Why not take 10 minutes to check out our newest blog post on one of our fascinating old students: Iris de Freitas BrazΓ£o. As the first female lawyer in the Caribbean and one of the first women of colour to be called to the bar in England, she's established a legacy that can inspire us all. βš–οΈπŸŽ“

We are absolutely loving your creative creations at the relaxation station this term!

Just a quick reminder about the play-doh - once you've finished your masterpiece and taken some pics, please do put it back in the tubs. If you leave it out the play-doh dries out and we have to throw it out. 😒

Don't want your amazing work to be forgotten? DM us a pic and we'll post it to our account (with or without credit as preferred).

It's Mental Health Awareness Week so the library has put up a little display highlighting some of the Welfare Collection's books on mental health and wellbeing. 🧠

We also have our Relaxation Station up in the Hartland library as a place to take a quick mental break from the stress and strife of studying. Later in the week our Library Tea is a great opportunity to take a quick rest and have a chat with your friendly library staff. πŸ’

Look out for yourselves and your friends and do your best to strike a healthy balance between work and rest! πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ
