Oxford School of Geography and the Environment We are the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford. We seek solutions to the human and environmental challenges facing our planet.

Studying or working in our School means you have been a part of the oldest Geography department in the UK, one that has an outstanding tradition in geographical teaching and research. We are currently ranked joint top in the UK for research and first in the world for undergraduate degrees in Geography.
