It’s not often you get to see a consecration – so now is your chance to get to see a really unusual one – right amongst the exhibits at the Oxford Transport Museum in Long Hanborough. Not only that but there will also be cars on display from both members and visitors. And as if that’s not enough, there’s a motoring themed Festive Board and the Wriggly Monkey Brewery from Bicester Heritage will be there with their Armstrong Siddley Racing Bar.
The lodge is named after Sir William Morris (aka Lord Nuffield) who amongst other things started Morris Motors, but who also gave nearly £2 billion in today’s money to charity over his lifetime, and was initiated into freemasonry in 1906 and remained a member until his death in 1963.

Location and timings
Venue
The Venue is The Oxford Bus Museum, Hanborough Rail Station Yard, Long Hanborough, Oxon OX29 8LA. There is ample parking in the Long Hanborough Railway Station MAIN car park £2.60 all day. The car park is alongside the museum,
Cost
The price is £37.50 which includes the meal, wine and free access to the museum, non diners fee £7.50 (museum access). Priority will be given to those dining in case of capacity being reached.
Timings
The meeting will commence at 13:00, Brethren to be seated by 12:40.
Access to parts of the museum that are not involved in the consecration will be open from 11.am. If you have informed us that you are bringing a car to display then you will receive a separate email in due course with further information, but in any event all display cars must be in place before 10.45 am at the latest.

It is anticipated that we will be dining at around 4.30pm. The Wriggly Monkey Brewery will be in attendance on the day with their Racing Bar (an Armstrong Siddley Saphire), which is a pay bar.

Visitors - Morning/dark suit. Black, Masonic Craft, or Oxfordshire Provincial Festival Tie. Black shoes.
