Great benefactors are celebrated by portraits in hall or benedictions in chapel. Bennett, Radcliffe, Goodhart are more than the names of quads and buildings. Even as a student, I thought I would someday join them. Not quite.

I never made a fortune, but Univ gave me a chance and changed my life. I hope cumulatively the acorns of modest bequests like mine will someday become big oaks and make a difference for years to come.” - Sean Denniston

We’re delighted to have opened the doors to our new café at Univ North this morning!

Open to all students and their guests, as well as staff working on site, the café is a welcoming spot to grab breakfast, lunch, a coffee or a treat during the day.

Monday to Friday | 8.30am–4pm

Start the morning with fresh coffee, pastries, breakfast rolls and granola. At lunchtime, enjoy freshly made baguettes and paninis, with hot and cold drinks, muffins, cookies and plenty of other treats available throughout the day. 🤤

During a recent trip to the US, Baroness Valerie Amos (Master of Univ), Felice Nassar (Director of Development, Univ) and Harriet Bayly (Deputy Director of Development, Univ), visited Astra in California.

They were hosted by Univ alumnus Dr Alan Weston (1975, Engineering), Head of Launch Program at Astra and Katie Clark, Head of Communications and Senior Creative Director, Astra. The visit was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with a member of the Univ community and learn more about Alan’s work at Astra.
