For EVERYONE of ALL abilities, whether you would like to try out for one of our two BUCS league teams (competing at dressage and jumping); enjoy riding as a hobby, or are looking to try something new. With weekly riding opportunities for everybody and regular socials, Brookes Equestrian is a society that enjoys the best mix of sport and socials! NO NEED FOR YOUR OWN HORSE as all competitions are run on riding school/borrowed horses and judged on riding style rather than the ability of the horse. There are also opportunities for more advanced riders to compete international within Student Riders GB.

Everyone give a huge Oxford Brookes Equestrian welcome to Meg, our brand new Recreational Riding Secretary! 🐴💖

Meg’s role is all about helping our recreational riders get back in the saddle by pointing you towards a local riding school, helping organise transport, and making riding as easy (and as stress-free) as possible for everyone ✨

If you’re looking to get in the saddle without the BUCS chaos, Meg is your go-to person! Whether you’re a complete beginner, haven’t ridden in years, or just fancy escaping uni stress for a horsey fix, she’ll be making sure there’s something for everyone 🩷
