It was great to meet some of our freshers on the field trip today. I hope you all enjoyed this brief introduction to the incredible variety of Cornish geology and mining history available at your fingertips, and are excited for the rest of your degree to come. We are looking forward to meeting the rest of you at socials coming up tomorrow and the following Friday :)

Many thanks to our lecturers for a brilliant fieldtrip, the CSM IMG for a dynamic mining demonstration this morning and to Carol and Official King Edward Mine Museum for hosting part of the trip.
