Wishing a Wonderful Retirement to Julia Giffen
After almost 32 years working in Nursery Services, we shall be saying ‘Goodbye’ to Julia Giffen as she retires. Amanda Cooke, Nursery Services Manager, said:
"Julia has been a constant source of warmth, patience, and joy within our nursery community. Her gentle presence has helped countless children take their first steps into the world with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. She has been the reassuring voice on uncertain days, the spark behind so many little discoveries, and the steady hand guiding children through their earliest milestones.
"What makes Julia truly special is the way she sees each child as an individual—celebrating their quirks, nurturing their strengths, and giving them the space to grow at their own pace. Her kindness has shaped not only the children, but also the families and colleagues who have had the privilege of knowing her.
"As she steps into retirement, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and countless happy memories. Her impact will continue to ripple through the lives she has touched, long after her final day in the nursery.
"We are deeply grateful for everything she has given. She will be missed but never forgotten."
Julia's last day is Wednesday 25 February, please join us in thanking her for her exceptional service and wish her the very best for this next chapter.
