The good news is that the University provides the council with a list of full-time students to help ensure you're not charged council tax. However, if you need an exemption letter, you can request one from your faculty

If you have any questions or need further advice, don't hesitate to contact your Faculty, Student Services, or the Students' Union Advice Team. We're here to help and support you throughout your student journey. 💙

Starting university and moving to a new city is an exciting experience, but it's completely normal to find it challenging at times too. 💙

Everyone adjusts differently, but here are a few tips that may help you settle into university life:
✨ Create a routine and stay organised.
✨ Join clubs and societies through our SU to meet people who share your interests.
✨ Make time for healthy meals, exercise, and plenty of sleep.
✨ Chat with people on your course or in your accommodation — chances are they're adjusting too.
✨ Get out and explore your new surroundings rather than spending all your time in your room.
