We have another gem from our Day in The Life series! 🤩

Follow Sayara for a full day on campus. Originally from Nepal, Sayara joined us at UPIC in 2023 & is now a final year Business Management student.

She has managed to successfully balance her academic calendar with workshops, networking events & social activities:

International Women’s Day | Sunday 8th March 💖

To celebrate we organised a special catch-up at the University of Plymouth campus café for our students.

It was an opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved hot chocolate (and cupcake), and share inspirational stories of the women in our lives. We talked about iconic global figures like Selena Gomez and Temi Otedola, but one theme surfaced again and again…

The extraordinary impact of our mothers.

We listened to Nicole talk about her mother’s entrepreneurial journey in Zimbabwe, and the medical legacy of Fatema’s grandmother in Bangladesh.

This experience was a beautiful reminder of how generational impact can be a driving force for international student success.

A Day in The Life of a University of Plymouth Business Management student on placement 📲

Goodness travelled from Nigeria to study with us at UPIC in 2023, and now she’s working as a Marketing Operations Analyst Intern at Keysight Technologies in Reading, UK:

“During my time at UPIC, I developed a strong foundation in business alongside key skills in independent learning and presentation. Plymouth Business School and the Careers Service were instrumental in helping me secure my top-up placement, offering tailored CV guidance, employer insight sessions, and support throughout the application process.

I am currently working as a Marketing Operations Analyst Intern, gaining hands-on experience in data analytics, campaign performance, and marketing operations within a global organisation. In the future, I aim to pursue a career in marketing analytics, using data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.”
