Here are some pics from the Computing Challenge Symposium 2026.

For the past three weeks, all of our Year 1 Computer Science students have been competing in our Computing Challenge. They’ve been building mobile apps to help them to solve riddles. They’ve been worked in teams to develop their apps and create a brand.

Today, each team was competing to take the top place on our challenge leaderboard. Will you be joining us to do this next October?

Listen to Professor Silvia Dalla talk about her research into space weather. Silvia is a co-investigator on IMAP’s MAG instrument, which was launched into space just over a year ago. She uses her expertise in particle acceleration and space weather to contribute to the interpretation of the data from the mission. Silvia is Professor of Solar Physics at our University.
