Just a reminder that those wanting to come to the Christmas meal should email [email protected] to confirm by December 1st.

The full price is £20 to be paid by that date also, Ben Armstrong or Chris Potter will be available from 13:00 to 15:00 today in the Foster social space, if that's inconvenient you can email and we'll sort something out.

Hi all,

The annual Freshers Week pub quiz will be held upstairs in The Adelphi next Wednesday (20th September) from 6:30pm onwards, food will be provided. Following the quiz we will be heading to our sponsors, Source.

Movie night is coming soon, Tuesday 25th October in the M&K Cinema in foster building starting at 6pm.

We have a list of films already, but if there is any films people particularly want or some that we might not have please just comment on this post.

Hello all!

There is a chemistry quiz for all the chemistry years and lecturers on next week, Tuesday 15th, at rift. This is very similar to the one at the start of the year! However this one will be at Rift & Co upstairs. It is £5, however this provides a free drink and potentially one other as there is some bottles of beer and a couple of bottles of wine provided.
Rift if is booked from half 7.
Hope to see you there and if you have any questions please ask!

Hello Everyone!

The annual Chemistry Christmas meal is on Monday the 7th of December at Tino's restaurant. The restaurant is lovely and fairly close to the centre of town (near staples) so easily within walking distance for all living at uni! For £20 you can get three courses listed as below via the hyperlink or as attached.

Starter:
ZUPPA MAMMA MIA
A creamy rice, chicken and carrot soup

CROQUETTE DI PESCE
Salmon and broccoli fish cake served with tartar sauce

FUNGHI FRITTI
Deep fried breaded mushrooms served with a garlic mayonnaise

TORTINO DI FORMAGGIO CAPRINO
A warm tartlet with goats cheese, caramelized onions and rocket

CHICKEN WINGS
Cooked in ginger, coriander, garlic, chilli and saffron

Mains:
TRADITIONAL ROAST TURKEY
Served with seasonal trimmings

RUMP STEAK
Medium cooked in a wild mushroom and barolo wine sauce

POLLO NEW YORK
Chicken breast topped with bacon and cheese in a barbeque sauce

BRANZINO MEDITERRANEO
Fillet of seabass served in a sauce of olives, capers, fresh tomatoes, anchoveis and mixed peppers

GOULASH
Slowly cooked diced beef in a tomato, onion, carrot and celery sauce with potatos

dear all,
as i have been ok sick from uni , Jake carter is sorted stuff out with jenny and friends , I hope its to hard to do all on your own.just wanted remind you if you want to be a chemistry society member you need to pay your £5 pound membership fee on the student union website when you find our society on there. its great fun and your five pound fee covers you for a movie night for example free pizza and popcorn and movie. it well worth five pound as there will be loads for things going for year commencing 2014 winter - 2015. also if you haven't said your coming to Christmas meal and want to come you will have to let Jake known sooner rather than latter as he has set up a event page for it to get it booked as fast as we can as Christmas isn't far off at all.
