y. Our excellent reputation has allowed us to attract many specialists from forensic science and from the police service, as well as academic and fire researchers, to deliver our programmes. This combination of staff allows you to benefit from senior practitioners with many years experience and new research developments at the cutting edge of these disciplines. We are very proud of our state of the art teaching resources, which include Search and Recovery laboratories, Forensic Anthropology laboratories, three Crime Scene Houses, a Vehicle Investigation area, Forensic Biology and Genetics laboratories, Forensic Entomology laboratories, Forensic Chemistry laboratories, Fire and Explosion laboratories, Moot Court Room, Police Base Room, and field provision for anthropology, human remains recovery and archaeological excavations.

On Thursday staff Forensic Sciences and Archaeology & Anthropology delivered lectures and tours for the Association for Veterinary Teaching and Research Work Annual Conference at The University of Central Lancashire - UCLan It was amazing to showcase our forensic and archaeological knowledge and facilities with fantastically enthusiastic delegates! Paul Langton covered Blood Pattern Analysis, Claire Hadley showcased our extensive CSI facilities, Jim Morris covered animal Pathology and zooarchaeology, PhD candidate Sarah Hunt discussed her Neolithic animal research, Judith Smith demonstrated the benefits of DNA analysis, Adam Baines gave a taste of expert witness experiences in the courtroom, Caley Mein talked about Taphonomy Projects and our fab Analytical Unit team showcased animal analysis in the unit. An incredibly passionate and knowledgeable team!
