35 years since the iconic film’s release and the science has moved on a lot - helping investigators understand timelines, environments and vital clues from even the smallest evidence.

Our expert Dr Noemi Procopio has teamed up with a colleague from Murdoch University to explain how the science has evolved…

Forensic scientists would conduct the film’s infamous moth cocoon scene rather differently today.

New research involving one of our computing academics has found smartphone data can predict smoking cravings and lapses.

The published research discovered micro-movements can be used to calculate smoking and other behaviour patterns with 85% accuracy within a five-minute window.
